PPI has reorganised chapters based on Lok Sabha Constituency.
It is found that having constituency heads instead of chapter and city heads will be functionally and operationally more appropriate for focussing on the target electorate and help in greater efficiency in planning campaigns. So, we will now have Lok Sabha Constituency heads who will be totally responsible for nursing and nurturing their constituency and will either stand for election or find and groom an appropriate person for that role. Logically, the Lok Sabha constituency head will choose and groom suitable persons to head the state Legislative Assembly Constituencies. They will automatically form the support base from which the Lok Sabha constituency head will draw strength.
This arrangement will define the geographic limits of responsibility in an unambiguous manner for all concerned. It will also make it possible to tailor make the grassroots level work to meet the specific needs of each constituency as well as help in identifying the issues to be taken up for campaigns at the time of elections.
The LS Constituency heads will report into the Core Group.
