Social Manifesto

Objective : TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF EVERY INDIAN

Clean up and beautify the environment. Improve living conditions. Create a social environment where people live a happy, prosperous and peaceful life. Strife of any type shall become insignificant. Indians will be proud to be INDIAN

Clean up and beautify villages, towns and cities on TOP Priority. Make it a national 10 year policy.

a Every road to have walking pavements on either side. Encourage walking.
b Construct segregated bicycle paths in every town and city. Encourage bicycling.
c Abolish hoardings and wall writing (alternative revenue generation discussed under ECONOMIC MANIFESTO).
d Pave village roads.

Encourage population redistribution into hinterland to decongest urban centers. Encourage family planning. Social and economic development is the only contraceptive.

Abundant water and electricity to be available in villages, towns and cities.

Implement laws to keep animals out of urban centers. Only licensed pets to be retained.

All animal driven carriages in urban centers to be replaced by motorized alternatives through priority funding. Implement laws to prevent vehicular air pollution.

Provide priority funding for replacement of public service vehicles like buses, taxis and rickshaws in urban centers.

Urban centers to have designated hawking zones.

All slum dwellers to be rehabilitated. NGOs to be in charge.

Create and manage water resources to eliminate shortage. All coastal areas to harness sea water.

Expand and modernize existing waste management facilities by 10 times.

Rejuvenate existing hospitals, dispensaries and goshalas.

Construct 50 million units of public conveniences incorporating “solar and bio waste treatment and disposal” after surveying villages, towns and cities. “Open defecation” to be a thing of the past. NGOs to be in charge

Modernize abattoirs. Set up bio waste disposal plants or incinerators.

Construct embankments for every river in cities and towns. Dredge rivers so that they can be used for pleasure boats, which can even generate revenue. Implement laws banning discharge of pollutants into rivers and other water bodies.

Construct multi storey parking facilities every 200 metres in towns and cities. Decongest streets. Create walking malls.
